The game opens with a choice of three starters — one Fire, one Grass, one Water. Each is the first of a three-stage family, and none of them is a wrong pick.
Quick answers
Which starter should I pick?
Burnsby (Fire) evolves earliest at level 14 and ends as Braveheart, the strongest of the three on paper at 593 base stat total with 124 Mgk. Atk and 108 Speed. Squibbly (Water) is the tank — 122 Health and 115 Defense as Krakanchor — and the safest run for a first playthrough. Bulbapod (Grass) starts weakest at 273 but finishes at 561 with the highest raw Attack of the three, 120.
How many Dokimon are there?
144 in the release build, numbered #000–#143 in the in-game Mondex. 85 of them carry a second element.
Is there a Normal type?
No. Dokimon Quest has 13 elements — Fire, Grass, Water, Electric, Dark, Light, Flying, Fighting, Poison, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost and Ice. The current move list contains 22 Light moves, the largest selection among the 13 elements. Learnsets are generated per Dokimon, so even common Light utility moves are not universal.
