Dokimon Quest II is the officially announced direct sequel to Dokimon Quest, by the same developer, Yanako RPGs. Its Steam page is live with a "Coming soon" release date (checked 2026-09-01). The setup: back in time to save Maiko
The store description opens with "Maiko, we're coming for you!" and describes travelling "between the modern world and Edo period Japan" — you land in a "dated, unfamiliar world" and team up with the villagers who found you, meeting new Dokimon alongside "some familiar faces". Like the first game, it is a GBC-era-styled Monster Tamer JRPG.
The Buddy System
