This is the walkthrough slot for Dokimon Quest II. The game has no release date yet — its Steam page says "Coming soon" — so there is nothing to walk through, and no early "guide" you find elsewhere is based on real play. On launch day this page gets the same treatment the base game got: extracted data, not guesswork.
Dokimon Quest 2 choices you can already plan
A few things the official Steam pagealready confirms are exactly the kind of decisions a guide covers:
- Partner choice. The Buddy System lets you travel alone or bring one recruited partner, in three roles: a Trainer joins your Dokimon battles, a Healer keeps you going through tough areas or when items run short, and a Merchant suits exploring and catching. The store page frames the partner as with you "every step of the way (unless you decide to leave them at home!)" — so expect this to be an early-game decision worth getting right, and the first thing this guide benchmarks at launch.
- Difficulty is adjustable, the game is playable without timed input, has a keyboard-only option, and you can save anytime — so a blind first playthrough is a supported way to play, and you can commit to harder settings knowing saves are never gated.
- The economy works differently. In Edo-period Xelos, trading and bartering replace much of the money economy; the store page says "not just anything is up for sale", with some items coming only from gathering, crafting or trading. Expect item routes and trade chains to matter more than shop lists did in the first game.
What the Dokimon Quest 2 guide covers at launch
The base game's playbook, applied to the sequel on day one: a starter/early-route walkthrough, partner-role comparison with real numbers, the fastest way through each area with its encounter table beside it, and how the barter economy actually prices things once the data is out of the game files. Everything gets the same source-extraction treatment as the base game's database — numbers from the game, not from forum hearsay. Steam Achievements are confirmed for the sequel, so an achievements list with unlock conditions goes up alongside it, the way the first game's achievements page tracks all of its unlocks with rarity data. And because the sequel revisits Xelos 200 years earlier, the guide will map old-region knowledge to the new one wherever the games overlap — which towns exist in 1855, what replaced the shops, and where returning species moved.
Until Dokimon Quest 2 launches
The systems the sequel builds on are documented now, and the first game is the best preparation: how battles, stats and capture work, the13-element type chart (no Normal type — Light fills that role), the base-game guides including the starter comparison, and every area's wild encounter table. Confirmed sequel facts are collected on the Dokimon Quest II hub;wishlist it on Steam ↗ for the release notification, and the news page carries every developer announcement the day it posts.
